tablet is used to treat nausea and vomiting associated with migraine. It contains two main ingredients: domperidone and paracetamol. Domperidone helps your stomach and intestines move food more effectively, preventing acid from flowing back up into the food pipe.
Paracetamol helps reduce pain, fever, and inflammation by affecting certain chemicals in the body and the brain area that controls temperature. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you’re allergic to any of its ingredients, have liver or heart problems, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Certain conditions, like stomach bleeding, prolactinoma (a type of brain tumour), or serious infections, may make it unsafe to use.
Also, tell your doctor about any other medicines you're taking, especially for heart issues, infections, or HIV, as they can interact with tablet. Take this medicine as prescribed, usually with or without food, and at the same time each day. Swallow it whole with water.
Common side effects may include diarrhoea, dry mouth, skin rash, weakness, or drowsiness. Some people may also experience allergic reactions or visual disturbances. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember.
If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Never double up. Keep this medicine in a cool, dry place away from children and pets.
Do not drink alcohol while taking it, as it can worsen stomach acidity. If you take too much, seek medical help right away, as it can lead to serious symptoms like muscle movements, anxiety, or sleepiness. If you're using this medicine long-term, your doctor may want to check your blood levels or bone health regularly.
It is not advised to take tablet during pregnancy unless your doctor considers it essential after assessing the benefits over risks. If you are pregnant or think you may be or are planning for a baby, you should consult your doctor before starting this medicine.
Components of tablet pass into the breast milk in small amounts; thus, consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding. After assessing the benefits and needs, your doctor may adjust the medication or recommend that you discontinue breastfeeding or closely monitor the baby.
It is advised not to drive or operate machines if you experience headache, dizziness, drowsiness and visual disturbances while taking tablet.
There are no interactions reported between this medicine and alcohol. However, alcohol is known to increase acidity and can make your acidity worse, thus you should avoid consuming alcohol while on treatment with tablet.
