Please read these terms carefully before using Doctar. By using our platform, you agree to these terms.
Welcome to Doctar.in (the "Platform"). This Platform, including our website, mobile application, and our Free Patient Helpline (8877772277), is owned and operated by Doctar Healthcare Technologies Pvt Ltd (the "Company").
By accessing or using any part of our ecosystem, you (the "User," "Patient," or "Relative") agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must immediately discontinue use of our services. These terms constitute a binding contract between you and the Company.
Age Restriction:
Users must be at least 18 years of age to enter into this binding agreement. Minors may use the service only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these terms on their behalf.
Registered Office
Remote-First Entity, India
We are India's first healthcare platform founded on the principle of Organic Merit.
We strictly prohibit healthcare providers from paying for "Sponsored" rankings, "Featured" tags, or "Top of Search" positions.
Our search algorithms and helpline recommendations are based purely on geographic proximity, medical specialty, and verified patient feedback.
We do not sell visibility; we facilitate discovery based on clinical reputation.
CRITICAL UNDERSTANDING:
Doctar.in is a technology platform, not a healthcare provider.
Facilitation Only: We act as a bridge to help you find and book appointments. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Independent Contractors: All Doctors, Surgeons, Nurses, and Physiotherapists listed on the Platform are independent professionals. They are not employees, agents, or partners of Doctar.in.
Non-Emergency Use: This Platform is not for medical emergencies. In the event of a life-threatening situation, please contact local emergency services (102/108) or visit the nearest hospital Emergency Room immediately.
To ensure total transparency and protect our users from digital payment fraud, we operate a Non-Financial Booking Model.
Users are never charged a fee to use our app or helpline to book an appointment.
All payments for consultations, surgeries, diagnostics, or home-care services must be paid directly to the healthcare provider at their physical location.
Doctar.in is not responsible for the pricing set by doctors or hospitals. Any dispute regarding overcharging, refunds, or insurance claims must be resolved between the User and the Medical Provider directly.
We believe that fake reviews are a public health risk. To protect the community, we enforce the following:
A User cannot leave a review, rate a doctor, or send a message to a hospital profile until our system verifies that a physical visit has taken place. Verification is confirmed via the "Live Token" system or clinic check-in.
We acknowledge that family members (Relatives) often manage the care of the patient. Relatives are permitted to provide feedback specifically regarding:
Important: Relatives are prohibited from reviewing clinical outcomes they did not personally experience. This policy protects against hearsay and potential defamation claims.
Doctar.in reserves the right to remove reviews that contain abusive language, personal threats, or content unrelated to the medical experience. However, we will never remove a negative review simply because a doctor requests it; reviews are only removed if they violate our community guidelines.
Medicine is not a factory line; it is a dynamic and often unpredictable field.
The Doctor has the final authority over their schedule. They may prioritize "walking patients" (unbooked emergencies) over online bookings based on medical necessity.
Our "Live Tracking" (proprietary technology) and "Token Status" features provide real-time estimates. These are intended to reduce waiting room congestion but do not constitute a legal guarantee of the exact time of consultation.
By using this platform, the User accepts that medical delays are a reality of the healthcare industry. Doctar.in is not liable for any inconvenience or loss caused by a doctor's schedule changes.
When you book a Nurse, Compounder, or Physiotherapist for a home visit:
We encourage users to verify the physical ID and credentials of the professional upon arrival. Our platform provides verified badges, but on-site verification is your responsibility.
The User must ensure a safe and respectful environment for the healthcare professional. Abuse or harassment of visiting staff will result in a permanent ban from the Platform.
The responsibility for medical equipment (unless otherwise stated) lies with the provider or as agreed upon during the helpline discussion. Users should clarify equipment requirements before confirming the booking.
