This product is a sterile, absorbable, synthetic monofilament surgical suture designed for approximation of soft tissues. It is composed of polydioxanone polymer, which undergoes hydrolysis for absorption within the body over a period of approximately 180 to 210 days. The suture is presented in a USP 6-0 size, indicating a fine diameter suitable for delicate tissue repair.
The violet coloration aids in visibility during surgical procedures. Each unit is supplied with a double needle, featuring an 11mm length and a 3/8 circle round body configuration with a BV point. This needle design is intended to facilitate efficient tissue penetration while minimizing trauma.
The suture is provided in individual foil packets, ensuring sterility until the point of use. This configuration is typically supplied in boxes containing 24 individual foil packets.
