This product is a non-absorbable, natural braided silk suture, designed for surgical wound closure. The suture material consists of filaments derived from the silk worm Bombyx Mori, processed and braided to create a smooth, strong thread. A beeswax coating is applied to the suture to enhance its handling characteristics, reducing tissue drag and facilitating knot tying.

The suture is presented in a black color for improved visibility during surgical procedures. Each foil contains a 90 cm length of USP 3-0 diameter suture, attached to a 25mm, 1/2 circle round body needle. This needle configuration is suitable for a variety of tissue types and surgical approaches where a curved needle is required for precise placement.

The suture is designed to maintain its tensile strength for approximately three months post-implantation, providing prolonged wound support during the healing process before eventual encapsulation by surrounding tissues.
