Pregnancy

Can I take Coversyl Am tablet during pregnancy?

Coversyl Am tablet should not be taken during pregnancy unless recommended by the doctor after assessing the need and the risk. If pregnancy is detected during treatment with this medicine, discontinue the use of this medicine as soon as possible.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Coversyl Am tablet during breastfeeding?

Coversyl Am tablet is not advised for breastfeeding mothers. This medication passes into breastmilk in trace levels, which may harm your baby, particularly if he or she is a newborn or was born prematurely. Please contact your doctor about a safer alternative.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Coversyl Am tablet?

Please avoid driving if you experience any effects after taking this medicine that may affect your ability to drive safely.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Coversyl Am tablet?

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Coversyl Am tablet as it could lower your blood pressure and cause dizziness or fainting.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

• You are pregnant or plan on becoming pregnant.
• You are taking medicines called ACE inhibitors like captopril, and enalapril and develop symptoms like swelling of the face, legs, hands, lips, tongue, glottis, and larynx.
• You have narrowing or blockage of the blood vessels that supply blood to the heart (coronary artery disease).
• You develop heart-related chest pain after taking this medicine.
• You have low fluid or salt due to severe diarrhoea/vomiting, low dietary salt intake, dialysis, or prolonged use of diuretics.
• You have a narrowing of the aortic valve of the heart (aortic stenosis).
• You are scheduled for surgery with anaesthesia.
• You have kidney disorders.
• You have diabetes.
• You are taking medicines called potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium supplements, and/or potassium-containing salt substitutes.
