Neoflur Injection is an anticancer medicine containing Fluorouracil as its active ingredient. It is used for the treatment of cancer of the breast, bowel, stomach, oesophagus and pancreas. It may also be used to treat certain other cancers.

Dosage

Overdose

• Your doctor or nurse will give Neoflur Injection . Therefore, it is less likely that you will receive more of this medicine. If you experience the symptoms right after taking the injection, seek medical help.

Missed a Dose

You will be monitored by your doctor or nurse on when the injection should be given to you. It is unlikely that the dose will be missed. However, if you think your doctor or nurse might have missed a dose, inform them.

Pregnancy

Can I take Neoflur Injection during pregnancy?

Neoflur Injection should be avoided in pregnancy. During treatment with this injection and after 6 months and at least 6 months afterwards, women of childbearing potential are advised to use an effective method of contraception.

Breast Feeding

• Your bone marrow is not producing blood cells normally

• You have a partial deficiency in the activity of the enzyme Dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD)

Contraindications

If you are allergic to Fluorouracilor or any of the ingredients of Neoflur Injection . If you suffering from bone marrow depression. If you have any serious infection. If you are malnourished. If you are breastfeeding. If you are taking brivudine, sorivudine or their chemically similar medicines. Neoflur Injection should not be used for treatment of non-malignant cancer.
