Ampiclox Plus capsule is an antibiotic medicine containing a combination of ampicillin and dicloxacillin as its active ingredients. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, airways, skin, soft tissues, bones, ears, noses, and wounds after surgery caused by various organisms. This medicine acts by inhibiting the growth of bacteria, thereby killing the infection-causing bacteria.
Take Ampiclox Plus capsule as prescribed by your doctor for the recommended duration, as any missed or skipped dose can lead to treatment failure and a recurrence of the infection. Inform your doctor about your past medical and medication history before initiating treatment with this medicine.
Ampiclox Plus capsule should be taken as a whole with a glass of water at a fixed time to gain optimal benefit. It should not be broken, crushed or chewed.
The effect of Ampiclox Plus capsule in pregnant women is not clearly known. However, it should be used only if prescribed by your doctor after considering it to be essential and safe. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.
Ampiclox Plus capsule passes into breast milk and can cause side effects like diarrhoea and fungal infection of the baby's mouth. Therefore, it is advised not to breastfeed while taking this medicine.

You are supposed to take the prescribed dosage as directed by your physician. If you skip the dose or do not complete the course, it may cause resistance and decrease the effectiveness of immediate treatment.
No, you cannot take Ampiclox Plus capsulefor treating colds and flu. This is specific for treating bacterial infections, while cold and flu are caused by viruses. Therefore, taking this medicine in such conditions may lead to the development of antibiotic resistance.
Ampiclox Plus capsule should be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. Also, it enhances the absorption of the medicine. Thereby, consuming this medicine on an empty stomach can result in stomach upset.
