Each unit consists of a 75 cm strand of black silk suture, USP size 2, attached to a 38 mm, 1/2 circle reverse cutting needle. The suture is designed for permanent wound support, meaning it is not intended to be broken down by the body over time.
The Mersilk type construction provides a smooth passage through tissue, minimizing drag and trauma during suturing. The black coloration enhances visibility against the surgical field, aiding in precise placement and knot tying. Each box contains 12 individually packaged foil-wrapped sutures with attached needles, ensuring sterility until the point of use.
