This product is a sterile, absorbable surgical suture composed of Polyglactin-910, designed for wound closure. It is a braided synthetic absorbable suture that is coated to facilitate smooth tissue passage. The suture material undergoes hydrolysis for absorption, with the process beginning approximately 7 days after implantation and completing within 40 to 60 days.

The suture is presented as a USP size 0, with a length of 110 centimeters. It is pre-attached to a 40 millimeter, 1/2 circle round body needle, which is suitable for a variety of surgical applications requiring precise tissue manipulation and approximation. Each package contains 12 individual foil-wrapped sutures, ensuring sterility until the point of use.

The suture provides wound support for approximately 14 days, with its tensile strength diminishing over this period as absorption progresses. The fast-absorbing nature of this material makes it appropriate for use in tissues that require shorter-term wound support, minimizing the risk of long-term foreign body reaction.
