Usage Instructions

Ceficad 1gm Injection is administered by a healthcare professional. It can be given either intravenously (into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle).

Administration: This medication must be prepared and administered by a doctor or nurse. Do not attempt to self-administer.

Safety Information

Contraindications

Known hypersensitivity to ceftriaxone, any other cephalosporin, or penicillin antibiotics.
Neonates (especially premature) with hyperbilirubinemia, as ceftriaxone can displace bilirubin from serum albumin binding sites, increasing the risk of bilirubin encephalopathy.
Neonates receiving intravenous calcium-containing solutions, due to the risk of precipitation of ceftriaxone-calcium salts.

Precautions
