Cefozed S Injection is a combination medicine containing sulbactam and cefoperazone as active ingredients. It is an antibiotic medicine that is used to treat severe bacterial infections of the lungs, airways, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues, joints and bones. This medicine acts by inhibiting the formation of the cell wall and kill the various susceptible bacterial organisms.
Cefozed S Injection will be given to you by a doctor or nurse at the hospital setting or a clinic. Inform your doctor about all the known medical conditions, medical and medication history as well as all the medicines you are taking, including herbal supplements.
Cefozed S Injection will be given to you in the hospital by your doctor or nurse as an . Follow any instructions suggested by the doctor or nurse during the procedure or for aftercare.

It is strictly advised not to consume alcohol when you have taken Cefozed S Injection as it can cause reactions like flushing, sweating, headache or fast heartbeats. Do not consume alcohol for at least five days after the last dose of this medicine.

Cefozed S Injection acts by killing the bacteria responsible for infections. However, bacteria make an enzyme (beta-lactamases) that can destroy cefoperazone. Sulbactam inactivates this enzyme and hence helps cefoperazone to function optimally.
Cefozed S Injection is used to treat severe infections caused by various bacterial organisms. It aids to treat infections of the lungs, airways, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues, joints and bones.
Inappropriate use of antibiotics constitutes taking antibiotics when not needed, for wrong diseases, taking inappropriate dosage and not completing the course of antibiotic treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
Cefozed S Injection is usually given intravenously or intramuscularly under medical supervision. This medicine will only be by nurse or doctor. The route of administration is usually being decided by your doctor. Do not self-inject.
