Fen Forte Tablets is a combination medicine used for relieving pain. It is used to relieve pain associated with muscles and joints, headache, migraine and back pain. This contains mefenamic acid and paracetamol as its active molecules.
It works by reducing the formation of certain chemicals that causes the sensation of pain. This is also useful in treating pain due to sprain, strain and injury, post-operative pain and dental pain. Fen Forte Tablets should be taken as suggested by your doctor.
Do not take more than the recommended dose of this medicine.
Fen Forte Tablets should not be used in pregnant women as it can cause harm to the growing foetus. It can also delay labour and can increase bleeding tendency in both mother and child if used during labour.
You can take this medicine while breastfeeding as it is usually safe.
Fen Forte Tablets is not known to affect your driving ability. However, if you experience dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue and visual disturbances, avoid driving.
There is no direct interaction of the Fen Forte Tablets with alcohol. However, there is a risk of liver damage in chronic alcoholics and people with liver problems if you are taking this medicine with alcohol.

Symptoms of an overdose of the Fen Forte Tablets s include lethargy, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting and stomach pain. In case of an overdose, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital. Significant high doses of this medicine can lead to liver damage or liver failure.
Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed one. If you have missed the dose, take the next dose as soon as you remember.
Fen Forte Tablets works by the combined action of its two ingredients. Mefenamic acid and Paracetamol act by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, a chemical responsible for pain, inflammation and swelling.
