Ulcirid D Tablets is an anti-reflux medicine. It contains a combination of domperidone and ranitidine. It is used to treat gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD).
GERD is a condition where acid from the stomach flows back to the food pipe. This backflow of acid irritates the lining of the food pipe and leads to chest pain and heartburn. It should be taken as directed by the doctor and in the correct doses and for the exact duration as prescribed.
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it, are suffering from any heart, liver or kidney diseases. It should be taken before food. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.
Ulcirid D Tablets should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water, do not cut, break or chew the medicine. It should be taken before meals. Do not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.
Ulcirid D Tablets is not recommended during pregnancy as there is limited safety information available. Please consult your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant before starting this medicine.
Ulcirid D Tablets is not recommended while breastfeeding as its components are known to pass into breast milk; hence you should consult your doctor before using this medicine during breastfeeding.
Ulcirid D Tablets may make you feel dizzy and sleepy, thus you should avoid driving if you do not feel well or are unable to be alert.
You should avoid consuming alcohol while taking Ulcirid D Tablets , as it may worsen your condition.
Talk to your doctor if
Symptoms of an overdose may be agitation, unconsciousness, fits, confusion and sleepiness. Seek medical attention in case you have consumed too much of Ulcirid D Tablets .
If you have missed any dose of Ulcirid D Tablets , take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of this medicine to compensate for the missed one.
