Udapa Tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine containing dapagliflozin as the active ingredient. It is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes along with diet and exercise. Udapa lowers high blood sugar levels by excreting excess blood sugar through urine.
Take this medicine as prescribed and for the duration that it is prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip meals; take small but frequent meals. Before starting treatment with this medicine, you should inform your doctor about your previous health, medical history, pregnancy, breastfeeding and also if you are on any medication.
You must follow a healthy diet and exercise along with the medicine. An individual with uncontrolled diabetes is at increased risk of various health complications such as eye, kidney and nerve problems, heart diseases and stroke. Side effects of this medicine may include low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), genital infections, increase in frequency of urination, painful urination, back pain, dizziness and rash.

If you missed any dose of medicine, then take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Udapa Tablet works by lowering excess blood sugar level by excreting it through urine. It inhibits the reabsorption of glucose. Thus, glucose can be eliminated through the urine.
Udapa Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor with a glass of water with or without food. Take it at the same time each day.
