Triolane Tablet is primarily used to treat certain skin conditions, including vitiligo and psoriasis. It is a photosensitive medication used along with UV-A rays therapy. Psoriasis is a skin disease that causes red, itchy scaly patches commonly on the knees, elbows, and scalp.
And vitiligo is a disease in which skin colour is lost. It contains trioxsalen, as its active ingredient that belongs to a class of medicines called photosensitizer. Triolane Tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in the exact dose and duration as prescribed.
Do not stop taking this medicine, even if you start feeling better after taking this medicine. Before taking Triolane Tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.
There is limited information about the effect of an overdose of Triolane Tablet. In case of an overdose, contact your doctor or reach out to your nearest hospital as soon as possible. Try to carry the pack of the medicine to make overdose assessment easier for doctor/hospital staff.
Triolane Tablet is a photosensitive medication used along with UV-A rays (ultraviolet light A). It penetrates the skin and increases skin melanization (form melanin). It activates certain skin cells (melanocytes) and helps repigment the discoloured, white patches.
There is limited information on the use of Triolane Tablet in pregnancy. Hence it is recommended not to use the same unless prescribed by your doctor.
A breastfeeding mother should take this medicine only under a doctor's recommendation. Refrain from self-medication.
Sometimes this medicine may cause dizziness, as a side effect. So, it is advised to avoid driving or operating any heavy machinery until you know how Triolane Tablet affects you.
Although there is no known interaction with alcohol along with Triolane Tablet. So it is important to consult your physician if you drink too often.

You should take Triolane Tablet exactly as told by the doctor. However, it should preferably be taken with milk or after meals to avoid stomach irritation or discomfort.
