Pregnancy

Can I take Sitapride E tablet during pregnancy?

Sitapride E tablet can cause harm to the unborn baby if taken during pregnancy. This medicine should not be taken by pregnant women.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Sitapride E tablet while breastfeeding?

Sitapride E tablet should not be used by breastfeeding women. It is advised to consult your doctor for an alternative treatment that is safe during breastfeeding.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Sitapride E tablet?

Sitapride E tablet can cause dizziness or sleepiness. Avoid driving if you have dizziness or sleepiness after taking this medicine.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Sitapride E tablet?

Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking Sitapride E tablet. Alcohol can lower blood sugar, which may be dangerous, and it also increases the risk of a serious condition known as lactic acidosis.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

• You have type 1 diabetes.
• You experience symptoms like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, excessive thirst, fast and deep breathing, confusion, unusual sleepiness, or a sweet smell to your breath.
• You are at risk of dehydration, such as when you're vomiting, have diarrhoea, fever, or are unable to eat or drink, or if you're taking diuretics (water pills) or blood pressure-lowering medications.
• You have serious kidney or liver problems.
• You are taking other medications such as diuretics, insulin, sulphonylureas, or lithium.
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• You experience common side effects, such as genital fungal infections or urinary tract infections.
