Ibura Tablet is a combination medication containing ibuprofen and paracetamol, both of which are classified as pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory agents. It is indicated for the management of pain and inflammation associated with various medical conditions. This medication is utilized to alleviate pain and swelling in joints, including those affected by osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
It also provides relief from pain originating from migraines, headaches, backaches, menstrual cramps, dental issues, and muscle sprains. Furthermore, Ibura Tablet is effective in reducing pain experienced following operations, surgical procedures, and sports injuries. The medication can also address pain and swelling in the spinal cord, as well as discomfort associated with throat and airway infections.
For optimal absorption and to minimize potential gastric irritation, it is recommended to take this tablet with a full glass of water.
Swallow this tablet with a full glass of water. This medicine can be taken with or without meals. However, if you have a sensitive stomach, it is advisable to take it with meals to reduce potential gastrointestinal discomfort.
Ibura Tablet is contraindicated during pregnancy. This medicine may impede fetal development and can lead to cardiac and renal complications in the infant. Its use can also delay labor and increase the risk of bleeding disorders in both the mother and the baby. Women who are attempting to conceive or undergoing infertility treatments should avoid this medication.
This medicine is excreted into breast milk in low concentrations and may not pose significant harm to a breastfed infant. It can be used for short durations and at the lowest effective dose if you are breastfeeding.
This medication may induce dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, and visual disturbances. Therefore, it is advised not to drive or operate machinery if you experience these effects while taking this medicine.
Consumption of alcohol should be avoided while taking this medicine. Concurrent use can increase the risk of liver damage and gastrointestinal bleeding.

Do not take a double dose to compensate for a missed dose. Take the next dose as soon as you remember. A minimum interval of 6 hours is recommended between two consecutive doses.
This combination acts by interfering with the production of a chemical called prostaglandins which is responsible for swelling and pain. It also controls fever and promotes cartilage matrix synthesis.
No, this medicine is not addictive but it is advised not to give this medicine if anyone else has the same condition like you.
COX or cyclooxygenase inhibitors block the enzyme cyclooxygenase which secretes substances in injury or illness that promote pain and inflammation. There are 2 forms of this enzyme called COX-1 and COX-2. While some medicines selectively inhibit COX-1 (Aspirin, Indomethacin) or COX-2 (Etoricoxib, Valdecoxib), Ibura Tablet inhibits both the enzymes. Ibura Tablet may increase the intensity of adverse effects when used in combination with other COX inhibitors and hence caution is advised.
There should be a minimum 6-hour gap between 2 Tablets of Ibura Tablet and you should not take more than 3 Tablets in 24 hours. It is not recommended to use this medicine for more than 4 days on self-prescription. If you have use for a longer period, consult your doctor. This medicine should not be used in children below 12 years of age and who weigh less than 40 kg. (if >12 yrs old).
Pain killers (NSAIDs) irritate or damage the lining of the stomach which results in stomach bleeding. This lead to formation of ulcers or in perforation. However, this does not occur in normal doses and is especially a concern if you are taking pain killers for a prolonged period or use them more than regularly. The risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers and perforation is higher with higher doses.
