Sanflox E/E Drops is an antibiotic and contains norfloxacin as an active component. It is used for the treatment of bacterial infection of ears and eyes. This medicine should be used in doses and duration as prescribed by the doctor.
You should always complete the entire course of the antibiotic treatment otherwise, it may lead to treatment failure. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor about your detailed medical history.
There is limited information about the use of the Sanflox E/E Drops during human pregnancy. You should consult your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a child before starting this medicine.
It is not known whether norfloxacin passes in human milk following administration in ears/eyes. Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are breastfeeding.

Sanflox E/E Drops is meant for application in the ear/eye, the cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital. If you think you have instilled too much of this medicine, wipe out the extra quantity with cotton and tissue.
If you missed to instil the medicine in your ears/eyes, instil it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not overuse this medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Norfloxacin is an antibiotic that inhibits the production of the genetic material of bacteria. Thus, various substances essential for the reproduction or survival of bacteria cannot be produced by it. This affects their multiplication and they are ultimately killed.
No, this medicine is an antibiotic and antibiotics need to be taken for the complete course as prescribed by your doctor. Though you will be feeling better, some bacteria will still be alive, this can lead to these bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics and infection may come back.
