Timinib Capsule is an anticancer medicine used in the treatment of cancer of the blood, stomach or intestine. It contains imatinib as its main component. Common side effects may include edema, nausea, vomiting, muscle cramps, pain, diarrhea, rash, fatigue, and abdominal pain.
Notify your doctor of any sudden, rapid weight gain. Avoid driving or engaging in tasks requiring focus if you experience dizziness or blurry vision. Avoid taking the Timinib Capsule if you are allergic to imatinib or any of its components.
Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have any kidney, heart, or liver issues, thyroid problems, or if your thyroid gland has been removed. Notify your doctor if you have ever had a hepatitis B infection, as this medication could reactivate the virus. While using this medicine, monitor for symptoms such as bruising, bleeding, fever, fatigue, and confusion.
This medicine should not be taken while breastfeeding & for about 15 days after stopping this medicine.
If you experience blurred vision, dizziness and sleepiness after taking Timinib Capsule, then avoid driving or operating any machinery.
Although there is no known interaction between alcohol and this medicine, it is essential to consult your physician if you have a habit of consuming alcohol regularly.
Talk to your doctor if
If you missed any dose of this Capsule, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Imatinib works by slowing down or stopping the growth of cancerous cells. Hence, it helps in stopping the spread of cancer.
Timinib Capsule contains imatinib as its main component.
You can take this medicine with your meal, which may help to reduce the stomach problems from this medicine.
