Arteros 50mg Tablets

Arteros Tablet is an antimalarial medicine used to treat malaria. It contains artesunate. Your doctor will add other antimalarial medicines along with this Tablet to treat your malaria infection completely.

It works by generating harmful chemicals (free radicals) inside the malarial parasite, ultimately leading to its death. Headache, nausea, and discomfort are some common side effects of this medicine. However, these are temporary and go away on their own.

Before starting it, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history. Swallow the tablets as a whole. Do not crush or chew.

Missed a Dose

For optimum effect, doses of Arteros Tablet should not be missed. If you miss a dose of it, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed dose.

• Medicines like axitinib, vandetanib, imatinib and diclofenac should be given with caution as they may increase the adverse effects of Arteros Tablet.
• Tell your doctor about all the medicines or herbal supplements that you are taking before starting this Tablet.
