Rivamus Tablet contains rivaroxaban, an anticoagulant medication that helps prevent blood clots. It is used to reduce the risk of blood clots in the blood vessels of the brain (which can lead to strokes) and other parts of the body in patients with an irregular heart rhythm. Rivamus Tablet is also prescribed to treat or prevent blood clots in the veins of the legs (deep vein thrombosis) and to prevent blood clots in the blood vessels of the lungs (pulmonary embolism).
This medication is also used to prevent venous blood clots in patients who are undergoing hip or knee replacement surgery. Rivaroxaban in Rivamus Tablet works by inhibiting a specific blood clotting factor (factor Xa), which reduces the tendency for blood clots to form. It is important to take Rivamus Tablet with food at the same times each day, as directed by your doctor.
Do not stop taking this medication on your own without consulting your healthcare provider. While using Rivamus Tablet, be cautious and avoid direct contact with sharp objects, such as knives or blades, as this may increase the risk of bleeding.
Components of Rivamus Tablet are known to be harmful to the foetus. Thus, it should be avoided in pregnant women. If you become pregnant while on the treatment with Rivamus Tablet, immediately inform your doctor.
