Suzon 1gm Injection is an antibiotic medicine containing cefoperazone as the active ingredient. It is used to treat severe bacterial infections of the lungs, airways, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues, joints and bones. This medicine acts by inhibiting the formation of the cell wall and killing the various susceptible bacterial organisms.
Suzon 1gm Injection will be given to you by a doctor or nurse at the hospital setting or a clinic. Inform your doctor about all the known medical conditions, medical and medication history as well as all the medicines you are taking, including herbal supplements.
There is limited information available about the safety of Suzon 1gm Injection during pregnancy. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, your doctor will tell you about the use of this medicine after assessing the needs.
The components of Suzon 1gm Injection pass into the breastmilk. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding, he/she will advise if the medication should be used during lactation or not.
It is highly unlikely that Suzon 1gm Injection will affect your ability to drive.
It is strictly advised not to consume alcohol when you have taken Suzon 1gm Injection as it can cause reactions like flushing, sweating, headache or fast heartbeats. Do not consume alcohol for at least five days after the last dose of this medicine.
Talk to your doctor if
You will be monitored by your doctor or nurse on when the injection should be given to you. It is unlikely that the dose will be missed. However, if you think your doctor or nurse might have missed a dose, inform them.
