Myosone Sr Tablet contains eperisone, a muscle relaxant used to relieve painful muscle spasms, especially those affecting muscles attached to bones. It is commonly prescribed in conditions such as back pain, neck pain, shoulder stiffness, and other musculoskeletal disorders where muscle tightness limits movement and causes discomfort. Reducing muscle stiffness, it helps improve mobility and makes daily activities easier when used along with rest and physiotherapy, if advised.
This medicine works by acting on the central nervous system to relax skeletal muscles. Eperisone helps reduce excessive muscle contraction and improves blood flow to the affected muscles, which in turn relieves pain and stiffness. Through muscle relaxation, it eases spasms and supports faster recovery from muscle-related injuries or strain.
Myosone Sr Tablet should be taken with food, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the Tablet whole with water and do not crush or chew it. The dose and duration depend on your condition and response to treatment.
Do not stop taking the medicine suddenly or change the dose without consulting your doctor. Some people may experience side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, headache, weakness, skin rash, sleepiness, lightheadedness, or bowel disturbances like loose motions or constipation.
