• Chlorthalidone prevents the reabsorption of sodium and chloride by blocking the sodium/chloride symporter. This reduces the plasma and extracellular fluid volume which thereby lowers the blood pressure.
• Metoprolol works by relaxing blood vessels and slowing down the heart rate to improve blood flow. This leads to a decrease in blood pressure and relieves chest pain due to angina.
• Telmisartan is an angiotensin-II receptor antagonist. Angiotensin II is a chemical produced in the body which causes blood vessels to narrow, thus increasing blood pressure. Telmisartan works by blocking the effect of angiotensin II and thereby lowering blood pressure.

• The incidence of low blood pressure that occurs on standing after sitting or lying down (postural hypotension) occurring with prazosin (used for management of high blood pressure) may be increased when used together with Metosartan CH 25 tablet.
• There may be an increased lowering of blood sugar levels when this medicine is used together with insulin.
