Invokana Tablet is an oral anti-diabetic medicine used for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. Invokana Tablet contains canagliflozin, a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor that works by helping the kidneys remove excess glucose from the body through urine. By lowering blood sugar levels, it helps improve glycaemic control in adults with Type 2 diabetes.
This medicine is recommended only for adults aged 18 years and above. Take Invokana Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. For best results, it should be combined with regular physical activity, a healthy balanced diet, and routine blood sugar monitoring.

Invokana Tablet blocks a certain protein in the kidneys called sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT-2) that is responsible for the reabsorption of glucose (sugar) from the urine into the blood. This causes the removal of sugar through the urine, thereby reducing the level of blood sugar
There is limited information about the effect of Invokana Tablet in pregnant women. Thus, it is recommended not to use this medicine in pregnancy
No information is available on if Invokana Tablet passes into human breast milk. This tablet should not be used in women who are breastfeeding.
Invokana Tablet has almost no effect on driving ability. However, after taking this medicine, if you experience symptoms like dizziness which may affect your ability to drive properly, then it is suggested that you do not drive.
You should avoid the consumption of alcohol with Invokana Tablets as alcohol may increase the risk of developing diabetic acidosis.
