Hibenzol 400mg Tablets is used in treating parasitic worm infections. It contains albendazole as its active component. Hibenzol 400mg Tablets should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed.
It should be taken with food. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it . Also, inform the doctor about your detailed medical history before using Hibenzol 400mg Tablets .
Hibenzol 400mg Tablets must not be used during pregnancy. It has the potential to harm the unborn baby. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant or planning a pregnancy.
It is unknown if Hibenzol 400mg Tablets passes into breast milk. Caution is advised when albendazole is used while breastfeeding.
You may feel dizzy after a dose of this medicine. Caution is needed while driving or operating machines.
Although there is no known interaction with alcohol along with this medicine. However, it is advised to limit the consumption of alcohol during the treatment as it may increase the risk of liver problems.
Talk to your doctor if
If you think you had an overdose of this medicine and experience any unusual symptoms, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital
If you have missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Albendazole works by inhibiting or blocking the utilization of glucose by the worm and disrupts the metabolism of parasitic worms. Thus, kills them by depriving them of glucose and energy.
Albendazole should be used only under medical supervision. Do not give any medicine to your child without consulting pediatrician.
Hibenzol 400mg Tablets must not be used during pregnancy; it has the potential to harm the unborn baby. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant or planning a pregnancy. The doctor may advise to take effective birth control methods against conception during and within one month of completion of treatment with Hibenzol 400mg Tablets .
