Viskast F Tablets is an anti-allergic medicine. It contains a combination of montelukast and fexofenadine. This is used for the management of symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
Allergic rhinitis is also known as hay fever. It is a condition of inflammation or swelling inside your nose due to an allergen. The symptoms of allergic rhinitis include runny & stuffed nose, blockage in airways, sneezing, itching, watery eyes and other allergic symptoms.
Viskast F Tablets works by blocking the production of chemicals that cause the symptoms of allergy. While taking this medicine you should rinse your nose regularly with salt water to clear the allergen from your nasal passage. As a precautionary measure you should avoid exposure to a particular allergen you are aware of or suspect is triggering your allergy.
Take this medicine as directed by your doctor.
This medicine can be used during pregnancy only if your doctor considers it essential.
This medicine should not be consumed while breastfeeding.
If you experience dizziness or drowsiness after taking this medicine, do not drive or operate any machinery.
Avoid using alcohol along with this medicine, especially if you have any liver disease. Consuming alcohol while taking this medicine can worsen the side effects such as dizziness and drowsiness.

If you missed any dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the scheduled time. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed dose.
Montelukast works by blocking the action of allergic mediator leukotrienes by binding to leukotriene receptors and helps in relieving the symptoms of allergy. Fexofenadine works by blocking the action of natural substance histamine which is produced by the body during allergic reactions.
No, Viskast F Tablets is an anti-allergic medicine and is not effective against bacterial infection. You should only take this medicine for the treatment of allergies.
