Pregnancy

Can I take Enamate Tablet during pregnancy?

A pregnant woman should not take this medicine as it may cause harm to the growing foetus. Inform your doctor if you become pregnant while taking this medicine. Your doctor will normally advise you to stop taking Enamate Tablets before you become pregnant or as soon as you know you are pregnant and will advise you to take another medicine instead.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Enamate Tablet while breastfeeding?

Discuss with your doctor if you are breastfeeding while taking this medicine. Breastfeeding to premature babies and newborns are not recommended while taking this medicine.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Enamate Tablet?

You may feel dizzy or sleepy after taking Enamate Tablets. If this happens, do not drive or use any machines.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Enamate Tablet?

Alcohol enhances the blood pressure-lowering effect of this medicine and hence should be avoided while taking Enamate Tablets.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

• You have been very sick suffered from excessive vomiting or had bad diarrhoea
• recently.
• You have heart, kidney or liver-related problems and taking other medicines for the treatment.
• You are going to undergo any surgery or operation. You may be asked to stop taking this medicine.
• You are on a salt-restricted diet or taking potassium-containing medicines or supplements.
• You are an elderly over 70 years of age.
• You experience swelling of face, tongue, limbs, etc after taking this medicine.
• You have a problem in the blood vessels of your brain or have irregular blood count of certain blood cells.
• You are taking antidiabetic agents or insulin to control your diabetes; you should closely monitor your blood for low blood glucose levels.
• Any other condition if you have or you are currently taking other medicines should be discussed with your doctor before starting the treatment with this medicine.
