Topisure Tablet is an anti-epileptic medicine. It contains topiramate as the active substance. It is used for the management of epilepsy/fits.
Epilepsy is a brain disorder that causes a temporary fault in the brain's electrical activity. This causes people to have seizures and convulsions. Topisure Tablet is also used to prevent migraine headaches in adults.
It works by stopping the abnormal excitation of brain cells in a part of the brain or the whole brain and, in turn, stops the generation of seizures. Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose.
Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before starting Topisure Tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.
Topisure Tablet can be used in pregnant women only if recommended by the doctor. Women capable of having children should use effective methods of birth control during treatment with this medicine. If you become pregnant while on the treatment with Topisure Tablet immediately inform your doctor.
Topisure Tablet may pass into human breast milk. Thus, your doctor will decide whether to discontinue breastfeeding or discontinue the medicine based on the need and the risk.
Topisure Tablet may cause drowsiness and dizziness. If you experience any of these effects after taking this medicine that may affect your ability to drive safely, it is advised to avoid driving.
Drinking alcohol while on Topisure Tablet can increase sleepiness, tiredness, and other side effects of this medicine. Therefore avoid alcohol consumption while on this medicine.

Topisure Tablet can cause hair loss as a side effect. Talk to your doctor if this effect persists or worsens.
Topisure Tablet may cause sleepiness. If you experience any such effect, it is advised to avoid driving, operating machinery, or performing any other tasks that require mental alertness.
Topisure Tablet should not be stopped suddenly as it may increase the chances of seizures. Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor.
