Exnim P Tablets is a pharmaceutical preparation containing a combination of two active ingredients: Nimesulide and Paracetamol. Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that primarily functions by inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), an enzyme involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are lipid compounds that mediate inflammation, pain, and fever responses in the body.
By reducing prostaglandin production, Nimesulide helps to alleviate these symptoms. Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen, is an analgesic and antipyretic agent. Its exact mechanism of action is not fully understood but is believed to involve inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system, leading to pain relief and reduction of fever.
The combination of these two agents in Exnim P Tablets is intended to provide a dual approach to managing symptoms associated with various inflammatory conditions, pain, and fever. This medication is typically prescribed for short-term use.
