Estrahenz tablet is a female sex hormone (estrogen) used in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to alleviate symptoms associated with menopause, such as hot flushes, vaginal dryness, and itching. It can also help alleviate or reduce symptoms of estrogen deficiency and prevent bone thinning (osteoporosis). Estrahenz tablet should be taken by swallowing it with water.

You can take it with or without food, but it is important to take it at the same time each day for optimal effectiveness. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment to effectively manage your symptoms. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember; however, do not skip any doses and complete the full course of treatment.

Do not stop taking this medication abruptly without consulting your doctor, as it may affect the medication's effectiveness. Common side effects of this hormone replacement therapy include headaches, breast pain, irregular vaginal bleeding or spotting, abdominal cramps or bloating, nausea, vomiting, and hair loss. You should seek immediate medical attention if you experience warning signs such as breast lumps, unusual vaginal bleeding, dizziness, severe headaches, chest pain, shortness of breath, or leg pain.

Before starting this medication, inform your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medications for similar or different conditions. Additionally, discuss a history of unexplained vaginal bleeding or any past blood clots in your legs or lungs with your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you must also notify your doctor before taking this medicine.
