Overview

Westal Drops is a paediatric medicine. It is used to ease stomach and abdominal pain (cramps) and relieve symptoms of bloating and excess gas. Westal Drops are a combination of two medicines, namely dicycloverine and dimethicone.

Dicycloverine relaxes the muscles of the gastrointestinal tract and relieves pain. dimethicone helps in releasing the gas and prevents discomfort associated with gas and bloating. This medicine should be used under adults supervision.

Usage Instructions

Directions for Use

Give the Westal Drops as advised by your doctor.
Fill enclosed dropper to the recommended dosage level and dispense liquid slowly into baby's mouth.
Dosage can also be mixed with a cup of cool water, infant formula or other suitable liquids.
Clean dropper well after each use and replace the original cap. Shake it well before every use.

The symptoms of an overdose of Westal Drops may include headache, dizziness, nausea, a dry mouth, difficulty in swallowing, and dilated pupils. If you think you have given your child more than the prescribed dose, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Missed a Dose

If you have missed taking any dose of Westal Drops , give it as soon as you remember to your child. If it's time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of this medicine to compensate for the missed one. Do not exceed the daily dose of 20ml.

Dicycloverine relaxes the muscles of the stomach and intestine, prevents the cramps and relieves the pain.
dimethicone is an antifoaming agent. It changes the surface tension of the gas bubbles in the stomach and intestine; thus the gas bubbles burst and the gas is expelled.
