E Tag Syrup is used to treat cough associated with mucus. It works by loosening and thinning the mucus in the nose, throat, and lungs, making it easier to expel through coughing. It also helps relax and widen the airway muscles, allowing easier breathing.
E Tag Syrup can be taken with or without food, strictly in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. The dosage depends on your medical condition and your response to the treatment. Continue taking the medicine for the full course advised by your doctor, as stopping it too early may cause your symptoms to return or worsen.
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, headache, skin rash, palpitations, tremors, and increased heart rate. These effects are usually mild and temporary and tend to subside on their own. However, consult your doctor immediately if any side effect persists or becomes bothersome.
This medicine may cause drowsiness, so avoid driving or performing tasks that require alertness until you understand how it affects you. According to the advisory issued by the Union Health Ministry, cough and cold medications should not be prescribed or dispensed to children under two years of age. These medications are generally not recommended for children under five years old.
For children above that age, any use should be based on careful clinical evaluation and close supervision.
E Tag Syrup is generally not recommended during pregnancy. Hence, it is recommended to avoid this medicine during pregnancy and use this only if it is prescribed by the doctor.
E Tag Syrup is secreted into the breastmilk and may cause unwanted effects in the newborn baby. Hence, it is recommended to avoid this medicine if you are breastfeeding.
It has no effect on driving ability. However, if you experience any side effects, be cautious while driving or operating machinery.

Symptoms of an overdose include headache, anxiety, fits, abdominal cramps, irregular heartbeats and sometimes, a drop in blood pressure. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
If you have missed taking any dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of this medicine to compensate for the missed one. Do not stop taking E Tag Syrup without consulting your doctor.
This medicine is generally used for wet cough only. It helps to loosen up the mucous so that it can be removed easily through coughing. Your doctor will suggest you this medicine after examining you only, whether it's a dry cough or wet cough.
E Tag Syrup does not contain any substances reported to become habit-forming. However, it is advised that this Syrup should not be used for more than the prescribed time. It also should not be used in any cough without consultation from a registered medical practitioner.
