Defungin P Cream is a topical antifungal medicine used to treat fungal infections of the skin, vagina, ear and ringworm infections. It contains clotrimazole as its main ingredient. It is meant only for external application and should be applied exactly as recommended by your doctor.
You may experience some application site reactions as side effects, but they normally fade away with time. Please report to your doctor if you notice the side effects persist or worsen. Before using Defungin P Cream, please discuss with your doctor if you have any other skin conditions.
You may use Defungin P Cream after consulting your doctor.
It is unlikely to affect breastfed infants. Defungin P Cream can be used while breastfeeding if prescribed by doctor.
Defungin P Cream is a topical preparation and may not affect the driving ability or ability to handle machinery.
No interaction of Defungin P Cream with alcohol is reported.

If you have missed applying Defungin P Cream, apply it as soon as possible. Do not overapply this medicine just to compensate for the missed dose.
Defungin P Cream kills fungal cells by altering the permeability of their cell wall. It binds to phospholipids in the cell membrane and inhibits certain processes required for cell membrane production. This leads to cell death via loss of intracellular elements.
Defungin P Cream side effects are itching, irritation, burning at site of application, blistering & rash. Talk to your doctor immediately if you experience any of them.
Speak to your doctor before using it for children.
The doctor will inform you how many times this medicine needs to be used in the course of a day. The patient must not exceed this limit.
No, you should not stop using Defungin P Cream midway. Continue its application till the end of the course. If the course is stopped abruptly, the infection might return. Stopping the course midway may cause it to be less effective against the infection-causing agents.
Do not use this Cream if your condition is not diagnosed by a doctor, as it is useful in the treatment of fungal infections. Avoid self-medication.
