Cutenox Injection is a blood thinner medicine containing Enoxaparin as its active ingredient. It is used to prevent blood clots and for patients suffering from angina. It is also used as a precautionary medicine for patients who have undergone surgeries.
It works by preventing blood clot formation and also prevents blockages in the blood vessels of the body. This medicine will be given in the hospital by your doctor or nurse as an injection. Do not self-inject this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from before starting this medicine. You should also inform your doctor if you are going for any surgery or operation or any procedure which involves epidural or spinal anaesthesia. As it can lead to the formation of clots in or around your spinal cord and can cause paralysis.
You will be monitored by your doctor or nurse with respect to when Cutenox Injection should be given to you. It is unlikely that the dose will be missed but if you think your doctor or nurse might have missed a dose, then do inform them.
This injection can be given to pregnant women. However, careful monitoring for bleeding or increased anticoagulation. This medicine should be discontinued before any anaesthetic procedure involving epidural anesthesia (anesthesia in the spinal column).
Cutenox Injection should be used while breastfeeding only if prescribed by a doctor.
It has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive.
Although there is no known interaction of alcohol along with this medicine, it is important to consult your physician if you have a habit of regular drinking.

There is no known interaction with food. However, please inform your doctor if you encounter any food interaction with natural blood thinners like ginger, garlic and ginkgo.
