Comig Tablet is an anti-migraine medicine. It contains a combination of naproxen and domperidone as active substances. Naproxen is an anti-inflammatory medicine, while domperidone is an anti-emetic agent.
It is used in the treatment of migraine headaches. It is also used in inflammatory (pain and swelling) conditions of the joints like rheumatoid arthritis and other forms of arthritis. It works by blocking the effect of inflammation-causing substances and producing relief in symptoms.
This medicine also controls nausea and vomiting. Avoid taking this medicine if you have a heart rhythm problem or history of ulcers due to pain killers. Long-term treatment with this medicine can affect your liver and kidneys.
Take this medicine as suggested by the doctor and in the dose and duration prescribed. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history. This medicine should not be used in children below 5 years of age.
Comig Tablet should be avoided during pregnancy.
Comig Tablet passes into human milk. Thus, either medicine or breastfeeding should be discontinued.
Comig Tablet may cause dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, and vision problems. Therefore, you should avoid driving if you do not feel well or are unable to be alert.
You should not consume alcohol while on treatment with Comig Tablet, as the chances of stomach ulceration and bleeding increase. Thus, you should avoid consuming alcohol while on treatment with this medicine.
Talk to your doctor if
Symptoms of overdose of Comig Tablet are nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhoea, dizziness, sleepiness, excitement, and irritation. If you experience any of the symptoms or think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
Missing a dose of Comig Tablet may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
You should preferably take Comig Tablet after meals, to avoid stomach discomforts.
