Pregnancy

Can I take Pepcimed Injection during pregnancy?

Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant or planning to have a baby before starting treatment with Pepcimed Injection .

Breast Feeding

Can I take Pepcimed Injection while breastfeeding?

Consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding before starting treatment with Pepcimed Injection as limited safety data is available.

Driving

Can I drive if I have taken Pepcimed Injection ?

Avoid driving if you feel dizzy or experience visual disturbances after taking this medicine.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Pepcimed Injection ?

Avoid consuming alcohol in excess as it may worsen your acidity.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

• You have severe liver problems.
• You are taking medicines used to treat HIV.
• You notice significant & unintentional weight loss, recurrent vomiting, difficulty in swallowing, blood in vomit and anaemia.
• You have ever had an allergic reaction after taking pantoprazole in the past.
• If you are taking this medicine for more than one year, it may increase the chances of developing bone fractures.
• You are scheduled to have a blood test (Chromogranin A).
• If you get rash on your skin on exposure to the sun, inform your doctor.
• If you are on this medicine for more than three months, your blood magnesium levels may drop. Your doctor may perform regular tests for the same.
