Eith Tablet is used to stop or reduce bleeding in diseases that lead to excessive bleeding from the small blood vessels of the body. It is also used to prevent excessive bleeding during menstrual periods. Eith contains Ethamsylate as its active component.
This medicine reduces bleeding time and blood loss. Take Eith for the correct dose and the exact duration as per your doctor's advice. You can take this medicine with or without food.
It is advisable to take it with food, to avoid an upset stomach.
There is limited information on the use of Eith in pregnancy. Hence, it is recommended not to use the same unless prescribed by your doctor.

If you have missed any dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the scheduled time. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed dose.
Ethamsylate in Eith Tablet acts by inducing the coagulation of blood by making the platelets stick together, hence helps in controlling bleeding from blood vessels.
You should tell your doctor if you are pregnant or trying to be a parent. If you are breastfeeding. If you have a history of allergic reactions to any medicine.
Blood clotting is a complex process and involves various enzymes in different steps. Ethamsylate helps in arresting bleeding by binding to certain receptors where lysine binds, inhibiting the enzymes that break down these clots. Hence, it helps to stop excessive bleeding.
Eith Tablet is effective only in controlling excessive bleeding during menses and is not recommended for controlling or stopping regular menstrual cycles. It is advisable to consult your gynaecologist for controlling menses.
