Precautions and Warnings

Pregnancy

Can I take Celcarb Injection during pregnancy?

There is limited information on the effect of Celcarb Injection during pregnancy and hence should not be used in pregnant women. This medicine should only be used in pregnant women if recommended by the doctor after assessing the need and the risk.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Celcarb Injection while breastfeeding?

No information is available if Celcarb Injection passes into human breast milk. Thus, this medicine should not be used in breastfeeding women.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Celcarb Injection?

There is limited information on the effect of Celcarb Injection on driving ability. However, if you experience any effects after taking this medicine that may affect your ability to drive safely, it is advised to avoid driving.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Celcarb Injection?

There is limited information available on the interaction of alcohol with Celcarb Injection. Ask your doctor for advice on alcohol intake along with this medicine.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

• You are pregnant or there is a chance you may be pregnant.
• You are breastfeeding.
• You have kidney disease.
• You are elderly (over 65 years old).
• You have been treated with cisplatin or similar anti-cancer medicines in the past. If so, Celcarb Injection may cause abnormalities in your nervous system, such as pins and needles or hearing and vision problems.
• You have headaches, altered mental functioning, seizures and abnormal vision (from blurriness to vision loss).
• You develop extreme tiredness and shortness of breath with decreased number of red blood cells (haemolytic anaemia), alone or combined with low platelet count, abnormal bruising (thrombocytopenia) and kidney disease where you pass little or no urine after using this medicine.
• You have a fever (temperature greater than or equal to 38°C) or chills, which could be signs of infection.
