Bisariv Tablet contains bisacodyl as its active ingredient. It is helpful in improving bowel function and provides relief from constipation. It acts as a stool softener by drawing water into the intestine and helps in making the hard stools into soft and easily passable stools.
It is also sometimes used before surgeries or operations to empty the bowel. Bisariv has laxative properties and it works by making your stool soft and improving the bowel movement in the intestine. Along with the medication, a high-fibrous diet can be more effective.
It should not be used by a patient suffering from any inflammatory conditions of the intestine or stomach, any infection in the digestive tract, appendicitis or dehydration. Before your doctor gives you this medicine, tell them if you are taking or have taken any medicines, supplements or herbal preparations.
There is limited information related to the safety of this medicine in pregnant women. Bisariv Tablets should not be taken during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester. It is important to consult the doctor before using any medicines during pregnancy.

If you have missed taking any dose of Bisariv Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of this medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Bisariv Tablet contains Bisacodyl. Bisacodyl works on the large intestine. It stimulates the nerves present in the large intestine to generate contractions and promotes the accumulation of electrolytes and water. This results in the softening of stools and passing of the stools, reducing constipation.
Bisariv Tablet should be used as per the directions and duration given by the doctor. It should not be used on a daily basis for a prolonged time without investigation of the cause of constipation. Prolonged use can make the intestine dependent on it.
