Calcium Sandoz Injection contains Calcium Gluconate as its active ingredient. It is used as a nutritional supplement where the intake of calcium from food is inadequate. It is also used for the treatment of calcium deficiency in certain medical conditions involving bone loss, weak bones, certain muscle problems etc.
It works by increasing calcium level in the blood. It also binds to potassium or magnesium if they are present in excess in blood. Constipation, stomach upset, chalky taste, tingling sensation are some of the side effects of using this medicine.
If side effects do not go away on their own or your condition doesn't improve over time then inform your doctor.
Limited information is available on the use of this injection in pregnancy. Use this medicine in pregnancy only if prescribed by your doctor.
Components of this Injection are not known to pass in breastmilk. Lactating mother should use this medicine only if prescribed by a doctor.
Taking Calcium Sandoz Injection may cause dizziness, light-headedness or weakness. Avoid driving if you have dizziness, light-headedness or weakness after taking this medicine.
Alcohol is not known to interact with Calcium Sandoz Injection. However, if you consume alcohol too often discuss it with your doctor.

It is unlikely that the dose of Calcium Sandoz Injection will be missed if you are monitored in a healthcare set up. However, if you have missed taking any dose of this injection inform your doctor or nurse immediately.

To avoid dizziness after taking Calcium Sandoz Injection you should lie down for short period. If dizziness or fainting worsens after taking this injection consult your doctor immediately.

Calcium Sandoz Injection should be taken in the hospital/clinic in dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It is to be taken till your blood level of calcium comes to normal or till your medical condition Improves. It should not be taken for a prolonged period.
This injection will be administered by the doctor or nurse in a health care setup and the doctor only will decide the route of administration. Do not self-inject.
Calcium Sandoz injection composition includes calcium gluconate, as its active component.
Constipation, stomach upset, tingling sensation and altered taste are a few side effects that can be seen after this injection. However, these symptoms are usually mild and resolve on your own.
