Britzilam Tablet is an anti-convulsant medication containing brivaracetam as its active ingredient. It is indicated for the treatment of seizures in individuals diagnosed with epilepsy, a neurological condition characterized by abnormal brain activity, which can manifest as altered sensations, loss of consciousness, or uncontrolled movements. The medication functions by stabilizing the irregular transmission of signals within the brain.
Patients should be advised that this medicine may induce symptoms such as sleepiness, dizziness, and impaired coordination; therefore, operating vehicles or heavy machinery immediately after administration is not recommended. It is important to inform a physician about any pre-existing liver or kidney conditions, as dose adjustments may be necessary. Additionally, patients who are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding must discuss their status with their healthcare provider.
Abrupt discontinuation of Britzilam Tablet can lead to serious complications, including an increased frequency of seizures.
It is not recommended to be used during pregnancy due to limited information available on its safety and its effect on the unborn baby. Take this medicine only if it is prescribed by your doctor. It is also mandatory to inform your doctor if you are planning a pregnancy while on treatment with this medicine.
You may experience sleepiness, tiredness, dizziness and lack of coordination, especially during the initiation of treatment. So it is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.

It would be best if you take the doses at the appropriate time for the desired effect. If you have missed any dose of this medicine take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of this medicine to compensate for the missed one.
When an abnormal electrical activity involves only one part of the brain, that is called 'partial-onset seizures'. In partial seizures, the person remains alert and does not lose consciousness. It only lasts for a few seconds to less than 2 minutes.
No, you should take this medicine as a whole. Do not crush or chew the tablet before swallowing.
