Besicor T tablet contains lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, a bacteria that is naturally present in the human body, primarily within the intestinal tract. This strain is recognised as a probiotic, or friendly bacteria, which helps to inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria in the stomach and intestines. Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG has gained popularity in alternative medicine and is considered likely effective in treating or preventing diarrhoea associated with rotavirus in infants and children.
Besicor T tablet may also assist in managing colic in infants and in preventing antibiotic-associated diarrhoea in children.

Besicor T tablet operates through several mechanisms. It competes for adhesion sites to exclude pathogens, enhances the immune response, and delivers essential macro- and micro-nutrients. It also contributes enzymatically to digestion and produces low-molecular-weight antibacterial substances that inhibit both gram-positive and gram-negative enteric bacteria. It employs enzymatic mechanisms to modify toxin receptors, thereby blocking toxin-mediated pathology and preventing the colonisation of pathogenic microorganisms by competing for microbial adhesion sites.
Besicor T tablet can be used in children if prescribed by your doctor.
