Xcure Syrup is a combination medication used for the treatment of cough. It works by thinning mucus in the nose and windpipe, helping you cough it out more easily. The syrup also soothes throat irritation and provides a cooling effect for added relief.
This medicine may be taken with or without food, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage and duration depend on your condition and how well you respond to the treatment. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, headache, skin rash, tremors, and an increased heart rate.
These effects are usually mild and temporary, resolving on their own with time. However, consult your doctor immediately if any side effect persists or causes concern. This medicine may cause drowsiness, so avoid driving or performing activities that require alertness until you know how it affects you.
Before starting Xcure Syrup, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. According to the advisory issued by the Union Health Ministry, cough and cold medications should not be prescribed or dispensed to children under two years of age. These medications are generally not recommended for children under five years old.
For children above that age, any use should be based on careful clinical evaluation and close supervision.
There is limited information on the use of Xcure Syrup in pregnancy. Hence, it is recommended to use this medicine with caution and under medical supervision if you are pregnant.
Components of this medicine pass into the breastmilk. However, its effect on the baby is very unlikely at a therapeutic dose. Hence, it is recommended to use this medicine with caution if you are breastfeeding
You may experience dizziness after using this medicine. Hence, it is advised to be cautious while driving or using machinery immediately after having this medicine.
Although there is no known interaction with alcohol along with this medicine. However, you should avoid using alcohol as it can delay the healing or decrease the body's response to infection.

Xcure Syrup works by drawing water into the airways and loosening up the mucus, which eases coughing out of sputum. It also dilates the respiratory tract muscles and makes breathing easier.
Xcure Syrup is generally used for wet cough only. It helps in loosening up the mucus so that it can be removed easily through coughing. Your doctor will suggest the medicine after examining you only whether it's a dry cough or wet cough.
