Overview

Asthalin Syrup is a cough preparation. It contains a combination of ambroxol, guaifenesin, and levosalbutamol. Asthalin Syrup is used for the treatment of productive cough associated with spasms or constriction of airways in conditions such as bronchitis and bronchial asthma.

It is also used for all conditions associated with thick mucus, wheezing, and chest congestion. It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways and making the mucus less thick, which can be expelled easily. According to the advisory issued by the Union Health Ministry, cough and cold medications should not be prescribed or dispensed to children under two years of age.
