Asofal Cf Tablets is an antibiotic medicine. It is indicated for the treatment of typhoid fever and urinary tract infections in adults. It contains two main constituents - Cefixime and Ofloxacin.
It works by causing the death of the infection-causing bacteria. Side effects of Asofal Cf Tablets include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, headache, and dizziness. Swallow it whole with a glass of water, with or without food.
Do not cut, break or chew the medicine. Take Asofal Cf Tablets as prescribed and for the exact duration. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and should also tell your doctor about the medicines, herbs, supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from before starting this medicine.
Asofal Cf Tablets should not be used during pregnancy as there is limited safety information available about its use in pregnant women. If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or are planning a pregnancy consult your doctor for advice before starting this medicine.
It is advisable not to breastfeed when you are taking Asofal Cf Tablets as a component of this medicine passes into breast milk and can be harmful for your baby's joint growth
Asofal Cf Tablets may make you feel dizzy, confused, stiff, less alert and can cause unusual muscle movements. Thus, it is advisable not to drive until you know how this medicine affects your body.
It is advisable to avoid consumption of alcohol during the treatment as it may worsen the side effects of Asofal Cf Tablets .

Symptoms of overdose include dizziness, altered consciousness, fits, irregular heartbeat, confusion, hallucination and tremor. In the case of an overdose, contact your doctor immediately or visit your nearest hospital.
It is advisable not to miss any dose of antibiotics as it can result in failure of therapy. If you missed any dose of Asofal Cf Tablets , take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Asofal Cf Tablets works by fighting against the infection-causing bacteria, thus preventing their growth and spread.
You need to complete the full course of Asofal Cf Tablets , as per your doctor's prescribed duration. You may feel fine after a few doses but it is important to complete the course. If you stop it early, there may be chances of infection reoccuring or not responding to this antibiotic in the future.
Asofal Cf Tablets is a combination medicine containing cefixime and ofloxacin which is used to treat typhoid fever and urinary tract infections in adult patients.
