Anglocip Tablet is an antibiotic and is used in treating various types of bacterial infections such as pneumonia, sinus infection and infections of the skin, ear, nose, stomach, urinary tract, etc. It contains ciprofloxacin as its active ingredient. Anglocip Tablet works killing the bacteria responsible for infection by blocking action of certain enzymes essential for DNA relplication, repair etc.
Anglocip Tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. It can be taken with or without food. Anglocip Tablet or any antibiotic should not be used when you are not sure if the infection is due to bacteria, unnecessary use of antibiotics can make it ineffective for future treatment.
Complete the course of antibiotics as prescribed by the doctor or it may lead to relapse or return the infection. Side effects of this medicine may include headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, stomach ache, diarrhoea and joint pain.
Symptoms of overdose are headache, dizziness, tiredness, confusion, shakiness, hallucinations, difficulty in urination. If you experience any of the symptoms or think you have taken too much of Anglocip Tablet, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
For optimum effect, doses of antibiotics should not be missed. If you missed any dose of Anglocip Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Ciprofloxacin in Anglocip Tablet works by blocking the action of an enzyme essential for DNA synthesis in bacteria, inhibiting its growth, multiplication and repair.
Anglocip Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine. It can be taken with or without food. It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results and should not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.
There is limited information available about safety of this medicine in pregnant women. This medicine can be used during pregnancy only if prescribed by your doctor. If you conceive while taking this medicine, seek immediate medical advice.
Anglocip Tablet can pass into breast milk and may produce undesirable effects in your child. Your doctor will tell you whether to discontinue medicine or breastfeeding considering importance of treatment for nurishing mother.

There is no known interaction between alcohol and this medicine. However, long term use of alcohol can weaken your immune system and body's response to pathogens and infections. Consult your doctor for more information if you drink too often.
