Hospicasp Injection is an antifungal medication. It contains caspofungin as the active substance. Hospicasp Injection is used to treat serious fungal infections in your tissues or organs (invasive candidiasis) and fungal infections in your nose, nasal sinuses or lungs (invasive aspergillosis) in children, adolescents and adults.
It is also used for the treatment of suspected fungal infections if you have a fever and a low white cell count that has not improved on treatment with an antibiotic. This medicine will be given to you by your doctor or nurse. Do not self-inject it.
Before starting Hospicasp Injection, inform your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and about your complete medical history.
There is limited information on the effect of Hospicasp Injection during pregnancy. This medicine should only be used in pregnant women if recommended by the doctor.
