Ambron T Drops is used for the management of wet cough or productive cough due to asthma and infection of airways, lungs and throat. The wet cough is usually accompanied by chest tightness, mucous build-up, wheezing and difficulty in expelling out the cough. Ambron T Drops is a combination of two medicines, terbutaline and bromhexine.
Bromhexine is a mucolytic agent and terbutaline is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways and clearing mucous. The dose and duration of taking Ambron T Drops are decided by your doctor, take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Cough may be associated with some infection to prevent the spread of infection you should cover your mouth with a tissue while coughing and avoid touching surfaces that might spread infection. Drink fluids to keep from getting dehydrated this may also help loosen mucus and soothe an irritated throat. According to the advisory issued by the Union Health Ministry, cough and cold medications should not be prescribed or dispensed to children under two years of age.
These medications are generally not recommended for children under five years old. For children above that age, any use should be based on careful clinical evaluation and close supervision.
Ambron T Drops is not recommended during pregnancy as there is limited information about its safety in pregnant women. You should consult your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be or are planning for a baby, before starting this medicine.

The symptoms of an overdose of the Ambron T Drops are muscle shakiness, redness, agitation, palpitation, increased heart rate and low blood potassium level. If you experience any of the symptoms or in case of an overdose, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
If you have missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Ambron T Drops can be used by a diabetic patient under medical supervision. This contains sugar that may be a concern in people with diabetes thus you should monitor your blood glucose regularly while taking this .
Ambron T Drops may increase heart rate in some people taking this medicine. However, not everyone taking this experiences this side effect. Tell to your doctor if you have any heart-related conditions before taking this .
Yes, you may experience tremors as a side effect of the Ambron T Drops . However, not everyone gets it.
Ambron T Drops can be taken with or without food as advised by the doctor.
