Zotopod Of Tablets is a combination of antibiotic medicines, namely- Cefpodoxime and Ofloxacin. It is used to treat various bacterial infections in adults. Zotopod Of Tablets works by its dual mechanism of action, Ofloxacin interferes with the DNA synthesis of bacteria whereas, Cefpodoxime inhibits the cell wall synthesis of the bacterial cell.
Take this medicine in a dose and duration prescribed by your doctor, do not stop your own if you feel better. Always complete the course of this medicine. Inform your doctor about all other medicines, herbal preparations and over-the-counter medicines you are consuming before starting with Zotopod Of Tablets .
It is not recommended to use this medicine during pregnancy. If you become pregnant while taking this medicine, then discontinue the medicine and inform your doctor immediately.
It passes into breast milk and affects the health of the child. Therefore, do not breastfeed during the treatment. Your doctor may suggest to either discontinue the medicine or to discontinue the breastfeeding.
You might experience dizziness or sleepiness, visual disturbance, etc. after taking this medicine. In that case, avoid driving and using any machines or tools.
Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make you feel dizzier or more sleepy.
Talk to your doctor if
Symptoms of overdose may include fits, unconsciousness, dizziness or confusion. If you have taken too much of this medicine, then contact your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital immediately.
If you have missed any dose of this medicine, then take it as soon as you remember. If it's already time for the next dose, then skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule.
You are supposed to complete the prescribed dosage duration by your physician. If you skip the dose or do not complete the course, then it may cause resistance and decrease the effectiveness of immediate treatment.
